America's Broken Political System

I am a follower of politics, specifically national politics, and have enjoyed it for my entire life, but recently have become disheartened with how and where our country is going. The fact is that our country isn't doing or going in any direction. Our country's two political parties, Republicans and Democrats, in the last few years have become so partisan that nothing gets done any more. There is no bipartisanship or compromise in Washington D.C.! And it is absolutely terrible because there are so many issues that are important and need to be addressed. Income inequality, social issues, taxes, economy, military are all issues that need addressing right now, but because of our two political parties nothing is getting done. They don't deserve to be paid or heck even be in office if they aren't going to do their job. America needs to stand up and tell its politicians to do the right thing for the citizens of this country!
